The European Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) Asturias is a non-for-profit association which lends its support to new entrepreneurs and start-ups, especially those of an innovative nature, in all phases of creation or consolidation of their project.
Business Innovation Centre (BIC) Asturias helps to foster an entrepreneurial culture and encourages the creation of new, innovative companies in the Principality of Asturias.
The Park was inaugurated in June 1991, promoted directly by the Government of the Autonomous Region of the Principality of Asturias with the objective of promoting the innovation region activity. Nowadays, it is a consolidated business venue with around 120 companies and institutions employing more than 2000 persons in the information technology, engineering, technical consultancy and environmental sectors and also in the electric, plastics, renewable energies and chemical-pharmaceutical areas.
Located in a high quality setting, with a wide range of specific services for the installation of innovating companies and projects with a high technological component, the Technology Park of Asturias is marketed through IDEPA, the organization that evaluates the different requests and carries out diverse activities for promotion of innovation. The Technology Park of Asturias incorporates the Non-Metal Materials Technology Centre (ITMA), the Business and Innovation Centre Asturias (CEEI), the Information and Communication Technology Centre (CTIC) and is the venue for the principal public organisms of the region (IDEPA, ASTURGAR, ASTUREX, SRP, SRT) which allows companies and investors to benefit from the proximity of all those services designed to promote its competitiveness.
IDEPA-Economic Development Agency of the Principality of Asturias is the Public Body, dependent on the Asturian Regional Administration, whose mission is to favour economic growth and generate employment in this autonomous region, by stimulating and providing support for business activity.
In order to achieve this goal, IDEPA offers services to business and entrepreneurs aimed at:

The final results of the 2009 CEEI/BIC Asturias project show an impressive success story:
I+DEX has collaborated with DEX Hungary in the preparation of the proposal "Intellectual Assets Management for Innovative Network oriented Entrepreneurs" -IAM INNOVIA.
The project was presented to the FP7-SCIENCE-IN-SOCIETY-2010-1 call by a consortium of partners from 11 countries that included the European Economic Interest Grouping DEX New Europe.
