Activity Description

Signal's chief activity is the development of real-time 2D/3D graphics software - primarily used to reproduce vehicle and machinery behavior in civilian or military simulation.

The company also develops software for generic graphical visualisation and, more specifically, for process simulation.

A third activity field is the application of state-of-the-art graphical technologies to problem-solving - resulting in a substantial performance improvement over traditional processes.


Products and Services

Signal Software collaborates in software development projects, implements proprietary solutions and researches new technologies of interest for their clients:

•   Operator training systems, simulation software for vehicles and machinery, software-simulated instrumentation and controls

•   Proprietary, graphical visualisation products

         -        For combined use with other systems

         -        For standalone use (e.g. ground visualisers or entertainment systems)

•  Diverse services for development of:

         -        Graphical and interactive apps

         -        GUIs

         -        GIS and apps for vector data visualisation, representation and edition

         -        Special effects modules for visual systems, data and map visualisation

                   in tactical environments or trainer posts, communications, etc...

eLearning Platform for SME

Grupo DEX participates in a consortium that today presented a bid to the RTD-T4-eLearningPlatform-2010 tender. The  "E-learning Platform for SME support networks and small and medium-sized enterprises facilitating SMEs' successful participation
in the Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development" was presented by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The consortium is composed by members of the smE-MPOWER network, EURESEARCH, the Higher Education School of Western Switzerland, Itycom, Ability Europe, SalsaDev and the Steinbeis Hochschule Berlin. The tender also counts with an advisory group that includes relevant actors, such as the Nokia-Siemens Netwroks and Cegos

A success story

The final results of the 2009 CEEI/BIC Asturias project show an impressive success story:

  • Ten companies have entered consortia that have presented a total of 13 project proposals
  • One of the proposals was approved and is already underway (Research for the Benefit of SMEs)
  • Five more projects were approved for financing and are now in negotiation (four within the Research for the Benefit of SMEs program and one EUROSTARS)
  • Three projects exceded the minimum score required for financing
  • One project reached the final evaluation in their call, reached by only two candidates

Evaluation process completed

The Research for the Benefit of SMEs call final balance showed a total of 256 project proposals that scored 11 or more points, which made them eligible for financing. Finally the top 132 proposals (scores 12,5 and above) have initiated the negotiation process. The remaining eligible proposals have been included in the reserve list

IAM-INNOVIA Project

I+DEX has collaborated with DEX Hungary in the preparation of the proposal "Intellectual Assets Management for Innovative Network oriented Entrepreneurs" -IAM INNOVIA.
The project was presented to the FP7-SCIENCE-IN-SOCIETY-2010-1 call by a consortium of partners from 11 countries that included the European Economic Interest Grouping DEX New Europe.
