Activity Description
Prometeo Innovations, SL is an engineering manufacturer of on-board technology solutions - to include design, production, installation and integration elements for all types of vehicles (taxis, motorbikes, buses, trucks, etc.). These solutions encompass hardware and its proper integration to the vehicle, as well as the Human Machine Interface (HMI) that allows the driver to use the equipment safely and easily. Prometeo, therefore, undertakes to provide a comprehensive solution to enable individual professionals and companies to use vehicles that satisfy their information and communication needs, increase their efficiency and competitiveness, and give added value to their business.
Products and Services
Prometeo is structured along two lines of business:
- The professional division (B2B), which designs turnkey solutions related to intelligent systems for vehicles (based on Linux or Windows CE/Mobile), embedded systems, communications (V2V, V2I) and GPS solutions. In addition, Prometeo offers technology consultancy services on vehicle communications, management and traffic alarms
- The main product of the consumer-oriented division (B2C) is called "iMOVE" - a platform for vehicles that can be integrated to a navigator (NPD) or an on-board unit and that offers multimedia and communication services (courier, V2I, etc.), including sending and receiving significant data for traffic, navigation and telephone services. Additionally, the company is able to integrate Advanced Assistance Services applications (ADAS)
With these technologies, the company offers:
- Access to emergency services and ambulances, e-call applications for fire and police departments, voice recognition, intelligent transport systems, etc.
- A breathalyser with car-start safety lock, fleet and routes management systems, online digital tacograph, parking systems, passenger control systems, and RFID logistics management systems.
- Machinery - GPS-based billing management.
- Mobility services for indoor/outdoor person location.

eLearning Platform for SME
Grupo DEX participates in a consortium that today presented a bid to the RTD-T4-eLearningPlatform-2010 tender. The "E-learning Platform for SME support networks and small and medium-sized enterprises facilitating SMEs' successful participation
in the Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development" was presented by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The consortium is composed by members of the smE-MPOWER network, EURESEARCH, the Higher Education School of Western Switzerland, Itycom, Ability Europe, SalsaDev and the Steinbeis Hochschule Berlin. The tender also counts with an advisory group that includes relevant actors, such as the Nokia-Siemens Netwroks and Cegos

A success story
The final results of the 2009 CEEI/BIC Asturias project show an impressive success story:
- Ten companies have entered consortia that have presented a total of 13 project proposals
- One of the proposals was approved and is already underway (Research for the Benefit of SMEs)
- Five more projects were approved for financing and are now in negotiation (four within the Research for the Benefit of SMEs program and one EUROSTARS)
- Three projects exceded the minimum score required for financing
- One project reached the final evaluation in their call, reached by only two candidates
Evaluation process completed
The Research for the Benefit of SMEs call final balance showed a total of 256 project proposals that scored 11 or more points, which made them eligible for financing. Finally the top 132 proposals (scores 12,5 and above) have initiated the negotiation process. The remaining eligible proposals have been included in the reserve list
IAM-INNOVIA Project
I+DEX has collaborated with DEX Hungary in the preparation of the proposal "Intellectual Assets Management for Innovative Network oriented Entrepreneurs" -IAM INNOVIA.
The project was presented to the FP7-SCIENCE-IN-SOCIETY-2010-1 call by a consortium of partners from 11 countries that included the European Economic Interest Grouping DEX New Europe.
