Activity Description
TESIS Telemedicina, SL is a Technology-Based Innovative Company (EIBT) and a spin-off of the Bioengineering and Telemedicine Group at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
The company deals in the development of Telemedicine and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for the health sector, which are aimed at improving care quality and providing technological and scientific support to all professionals involved in the sector; thus encouraging equality, by bringing medical attention to isolated areas and giving rise to good health control management.
Products and Services
TESIS activity focuses on five main fields of operation:
- Home teleassistance systems - aimed at providing care for senior citizens, chronically-ill patients and Alzheimer sufferers.
- Integration systems, to bring together different health information systems.
- Mobile solutions applicable to the health sector.
- Medical teleconsultation systems.
- Development of customised solutions for different hospital departments.
TESIS is a young company aiming to achieve, through the use of new technologies, the following:
- Healthcare improvement.
- The provision of technology support to health sector professionals.
- The promotion of equality, in bringing healthcare to remote areas.
- The achievement of the best management system in medical care.

eLearning Platform for SME
in the Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development" was presented by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The consortium is composed by members of the smE-MPOWER network, EURESEARCH, the Higher Education School of Western Switzerland, Itycom, Ability Europe, SalsaDev and the Steinbeis Hochschule Berlin. The tender also counts with an advisory group that includes relevant actors, such as the Nokia-Siemens Netwroks and Cegos
A success story
The final results of the 2009 CEEI/BIC Asturias project show an impressive success story:
- Ten companies have entered consortia that have presented a total of 13 project proposals
- One of the proposals was approved and is already underway (Research for the Benefit of SMEs)
- Five more projects were approved for financing and are now in negotiation (four within the Research for the Benefit of SMEs program and one EUROSTARS)
- Three projects exceded the minimum score required for financing
- One project reached the final evaluation in their call, reached by only two candidates

IAM-INNOVIA Project
I+DEX has collaborated with DEX Hungary in the preparation of the proposal "Intellectual Assets Management for Innovative Network oriented Entrepreneurs" -IAM INNOVIA.
The project was presented to the FP7-SCIENCE-IN-SOCIETY-2010-1 call by a consortium of partners from 11 countries that included the European Economic Interest Grouping DEX New Europe.
