Activity Description
Hidritec is a highly specialised company that deals in the application of emerging technologies in the treatment and management of water resources, as well as in managing atmospheric pollution in industrial environments. It is the one of the Spanish market leaders in ozone application and generation technologies. Hidritec provides individual clients with solutions specific to their needs.
Products and Services
The company specialises in making water supplies suitable for human consumption, in waste water treatment, water process optimisation, swimming-pool water treatment and, lastly, in the treatment of particular settings - especially with respect to hygiene and deodorising in food processing operations.

Drinking water purification: as an alternative to the traditional, chlorination system of purification; Hidritec proposes treatments based on ozone, ultraviolet radiation and copper-silver ionisation. These systems prove to be highly effective in disinfection - avoiding chlorine odour and taste, as well as the formation of trihalomethanes.
- Industrial water treatment: adjustment of spills, according to the regulations; purification in waste water stations (EDAR); physical, chemical and biological treatments; elimination of particles and heavy metals; deodorisation treatments; reduction of COD (chemical oxygen demand) and of BOD (biological oxygen demand), by an oxidation process with ozone and electrocoagulation; and, separation of fats and oils.
- Design and economic optimisation, based on the end quality of water in swimming pools and spas: disinfection treatments with ozone, ultraviolet and copper-silver ionisation equipment; saline electrochlorination (in situ, electrolytic chlorine generation from common salt); and different filtration alternatives (such as sand filters, diatoms, zeolites and high-performance, low-water-consumption, double-flow filters).
- Control of Legionella.
- Odour elimination: kitchen extraction systems, fish markets, slaughter houses, laboratories and diverse industrial applications.

eLearning Platform for SME
in the Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development" was presented by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The consortium is composed by members of the smE-MPOWER network, EURESEARCH, the Higher Education School of Western Switzerland, Itycom, Ability Europe, SalsaDev and the Steinbeis Hochschule Berlin. The tender also counts with an advisory group that includes relevant actors, such as the Nokia-Siemens Netwroks and Cegos
A success story
The final results of the 2009 CEEI/BIC Asturias project show an impressive success story:
- Ten companies have entered consortia that have presented a total of 13 project proposals
- One of the proposals was approved and is already underway (Research for the Benefit of SMEs)
- Five more projects were approved for financing and are now in negotiation (four within the Research for the Benefit of SMEs program and one EUROSTARS)
- Three projects exceded the minimum score required for financing
- One project reached the final evaluation in their call, reached by only two candidates

IAM-INNOVIA Project
I+DEX has collaborated with DEX Hungary in the preparation of the proposal "Intellectual Assets Management for Innovative Network oriented Entrepreneurs" -IAM INNOVIA.
The project was presented to the FP7-SCIENCE-IN-SOCIETY-2010-1 call by a consortium of partners from 11 countries that included the European Economic Interest Grouping DEX New Europe.
