What we do and How

We aim to

  • improve the technological level of the companies we coach
  • facilitate their presence in international collaborative programs
  • find European funding opportunities for their initiatives
  • encourage international cooperation
  • boost awareness of the importance of continuous innovation

Cooperation

Locally

At a local level, we strive to identify and promote synergies between our client companies. The fact they share I+DEX as a common resource, makes possible an insight that often leads to joint solutions that prove to be stronger than the individual technologies, each one on their own.

International

At Grupo DEX we practice collaboration as much as we preach it, therefore we have a large network of quality contacts across Europe: from companies to SME associations, research institutions to universitites, regional development agencies to national institutions or interest groups.

Our networking capability makes for easier identification of international opportunities, potential partners, projects and consortiums, allowing our companies a smooth entry into the international RTD sphere.

Approach

We seek to minimize the difficulties that our SMEs may encounter when participating in international, innovative projects. In order to do so, we offer a comprehensive support: we act as an "adoptive" R&D department,  which replaces the infrastructure companies should have - if they had all the necessary resources - to be able to do a serious and reasonable gamble for internationalization and innovation.

  • Producing innovation oriented company profiles and technical diagnosis
  • Creating and distributing information - web portal, technical dossiers
  • Seeking potential partners: technological centres, companies, universities, technological platforms and other relevant R&D&I actors
  • Exploring specific participation possibilities: project proposals, technological exchanges
  • Looking for funding sources
  • Facilitating companies participation in innovation relevant events
  • Organizing international technological visits / commercial visits for those companies taking part in the project
  • Technically advising in questions related to participation in European projects
  • Acting as the companies' communication department in collaborative innovation related issues.

  • Ten companies have entered consortia that have presented a total of 13 project proposals
  • One of the proposals was approved and is already underway (Research for the Benefit of SMEs)

  • One project reached the final evaluation in their call, reached by only two candidates

Evaluation process completed

The Research for the Benefit of SMEs call final balance showed a total of 256 project proposals that scored 11 or more points, which made them eligible for financing. Finally the top 132 proposals (scores 12,5 and above) have initiated the negotiation process. The remaining eligible proposals have been included in the reserve list
