eLearning Platform for SME

Grupo DEX participates in a consortium that today presented a bid to the RTD-T4-eLearningPlatform-2010 tender. The  "E-learning Platform for SME support networks and small and medium-sized enterprises facilitating SMEs' successful participation
in the Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development" was presented by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The consortium is composed by members of the smE-MPOWER network, EURESEARCH, the Higher Education School of Western Switzerland, Itycom, Ability Europe, SalsaDev and the Steinbeis Hochschule Berlin. The tender also counts with an advisory group that includes relevant actors, such as the Nokia-Siemens Netwroks and Cegos

A success story

The final results of the 2009 CEEI/BIC Asturias project show an impressive success story:

  • Ten companies have entered consortia that have presented a total of 13 project proposals
  • One of the proposals was approved and is already underway (Research for the Benefit of SMEs)
  • Five more projects were approved for financing and are now in negotiation (four within the Research for the Benefit of SMEs program and one EUROSTARS)
  • Three projects exceded the minimum score required for financing
  • One project reached the final evaluation in their call, reached by only two candidates

Evaluation process completed

The Research for the Benefit of SMEs call final balance showed a total of 256 project proposals that scored 11 or more points, which made them eligible for financing. Finally the top 132 proposals (scores 12,5 and above) have initiated the negotiation process. The remaining eligible proposals have been included in the reserve list

IAM-INNOVIA Project

I+DEX has collaborated with DEX Hungary in the preparation of the proposal "Intellectual Assets Management for Innovative Network oriented Entrepreneurs" -IAM INNOVIA.
The project was presented to the FP7-SCIENCE-IN-SOCIETY-2010-1 call by a consortium of partners from 11 countries that included the European Economic Interest Grouping DEX New Europe.

Biosurf Update

The second consortium meeting took place in Bremerhaven -January, 17-18th. Partners met at the facilities of TTZ to review work and results after the first six months of the project. Work proceeding as expected, the next meeting will take place in june, at the COASA facilities in Tiñana, Asturias.

Through a special collaboration between our project and the PRODINTEC Foundation, Metria Digital has been incorporated in two consortia (one of which they coordinate), presenting one R4SME and one Eurostars proposals

Electag / Nutri-Stat / SalinityScan

The three project proposals were presented on December, 3rd to the FP7-SME-2010-1 call. Coordinated byFraunhofer IGB, Malta Industrial Innovation for SMEs and Tool-Tech AS, respectively, they count with the collaboration of Ingen10 and Intelmec

P.E.C.

The project proposal was presented on December, 3rd to the FP7-SME-2010-1 call. Coordinated by Abada Servicios Desarrollo, the full project name is "Personal Enhanced Coach for Mentally Disabled Labour Force"; it involves partners from Austria, Cyprus, Estonia, Italy and Spain (Imagine800).

OzoneSensor

The project proposal was presented on December, 3rd to the FP7-SME-2010-1 call. Coordinated by the Fraunhofer IGB, the full project name is "Development of a novel robust and cost-efficient ozone sensor for water to support use of ozone in water treatment"; it involves partners from Finland, Germany, Spain (Hidritec) and UK.

NASLA

The project proposal was presented on December, 3rd to the FP7-SME-2010-1 call. Coordinated by the Politecnico di Torino, the full project name is "Nanostructured anti-septical coatings"; it involves partners from Grece, Italy, Spain (ALCE Calidad) and Sweden.

FurnitReuse

The project proposal was presented on December, 3rd to the FP7-SME-2010-1 call. Coordinated by the Silesian University of Technology, the full project name is "Developing innovative method for recycling used particle board made furniture and plastics by producing new environmentally friendly multipurpose composite material"; it involves partners from France, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and Spain (Ingen10).

RESILIENT

The project proposal was presented on October, 27th to the FP7-ICT-2009-5 call. Coordinated by the Coventry University, the full project name is "Resilient Enterprise Strategy for Information Reliability in the Future Internet"; it involves partners from Germany, India, Italy, Portugal, Spain (ALCE Calidad) and UK.

KRIS Energy

On August, 27th the Consortium KRIS-Energy presented to the EIC the proposal "Knowledge, Research and Innovation Society-Energy". Three of our companies, ENIA, Intelmec and NATEC, as well as TechnoPark Asturias are members of the consortium.

Recently, members of the coordination team of the project carried out a networking visit to the south of France.

FP7 5th ICT call presentation day

An informative session was held in Madrid the last 4th of June. It was organized by The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (cdti) with the aim of introducing the 5th ICT call in the 7FP and specially Challenge 1.

A networking mission to Italy took place during the third week of May. Our objective was to establish a network of quality contacts with institutions, technological centres and enterprises in that country.

Official Launching of the Enterprise Cooperation for International Innovation project

The official launching of the project took place April, 17th at the BIC Asturias facilities, with presence of representatives from the twelve company members and the coordinators, BIC Asturias and Grupo DEX
